Real experience

The food was very good. They had a vegan bacon that my wife enjoyed but she didn’t realize the cheddar cheese that came on the wrap was not vegan based. It would have been nice if the order taker would have asked to omit the cheese but I guess she could have paid more attention to the ingredients on the menu description.

I got the Caesar wrap which was very tasty. We also ordered chip with guacamole. The portions were great for the money and the flavors on point. We sat on the outside patio with our dogs and the staff very attentive and checked in with us.

Really loved the experience here! The food was incredible, in particular, the guacamole was delicious. Everyone in my party loved our food and we had a bit of everything! The only thing I didn’t like was that the extra veggies are a bit on the stingy side for how much extra you pay! I got roasted corn and there were only a few sparse pieces around, so I’ll probably stick to plain with guac next time. Otherwise an awesome experience and a similar price range to Qdoba or Chipotle, but significantly better food!

This is a vegetarian’s delight. The range of choices with easy online ordering makes this a great choice for lunch or dinner. All 3 of our burritos were excellent if not a little too big as we all had leftovers for the next day. We ordered carryout so I don’t know what the dining in experience is like but pick up was quick and easy. Great place to stop before a Mountaineers game! Let’s go!

Fast Casual and Delicious!

I’ve enjoyed Black Bear for many years, but this was my first experience at the Evansdale location. This place was popping for 5pm on a rainy Friday. I love the large spacious dining room. Very clean, too.

We ordered a Irie Member burrito and a the Cannonbowl Run. Both delicious with the burrito on the spicy side. We added queso and guacamole with chips which are both great options with generous portions. You get your money’s worth. This place is a great value. I ordered a margarita but I’d opt for a beer next time. They have a great beer selection.

I would visit again and again.

This was our second time dining in at Black Bear. It was packed as usual. The only thing I noticed was not enough meat in bowls and burritos. The ice tea was empty so we had to go for a soft drink, no one filled in the tea machine. I know it’s a busy restaurant, but you have to maintain the quality.

Good food. Gives a more fast food than a sit-down ambiance. Good portions. Chips come as a side (like fries). The chips are better, warm, salted well. Salsa has a good kick. Fyi, cilantro is your friend. Queso is more thin than I am used to. It is like a better Chipotle.

The food was very good. The staff was very nice. The craft beer selection was great. Only thing to be aware of is that it is you place your order and pay at the counter, then they bring it to you, and they clean up the table afterwards. If you have never been you wouldn’t know that. Other than that, great place!
